Ariana's Tale

Youngest daughter of the Dumbledore family, Ariana grew up quite happily with her brothers and parents until she was six years old. When Ariana unwittingly revealed her magic to a group of Muggle boys they insisted that she repeat it. When she couldn't, the boys attacked her, leaving Ariana traumatized in a way that would remain with her for the rest of her life.

Ariana's father Percival was soon sent to Azkaban for exacting revenge on the boys who'd hurt his daughter and Kendra was left to care for Ariana herself. As she got older Ariana's powers increased but she was completely without the ability to control them. She wouldn't use her magic and she couldn't get rid of it. Then--during an argument with her mother Ariana's magic was responsible for Kendra's death.

Her favorite brother Aberforth wanted to drop out of Hogwarts and take care of her, but Albus insisted he finish school. Albus, Aberforth and Gellert Grindelwald were involved in a heated argument--Ariana became upset and by the end of it she was dead and no one was sure who threw the curse that killed her.

What Now?

Ariana doesn't know what brought her out of time. Her last memory was of Albus, Aberforth and Gellert fighting. She doesn't remember what they were fighting about or why.

But she isn't a stupid girl. By looking at how old her brothers are now Ariana knows she's missed a century. Sometimes it's disconcerting but she tries not to dwell on the past.

Her mental state is improved, she is still shy but not so fearful and she is slowly learning to control her magic rather than allowing it to control her. She has even obtained her very first wand. (10 1/2 inches. Purple heart wood. Phoenix feather from her Phoenix, Lazarus. Unique.)

She divides much of her time between Albus, Aberforth and Gellert.
